Trefoil The Story
Trefoil, Inc. was established in November, 2004 to market and distribute the Trefoil Collection, its initial collection of dinnerware in the United States as well as to facilitate further product development utilizing the dynamic Trefoil form. The dinnerware line inspires new and exciting table setting ideas turning any meal into an occasion.
The Trefoil Collection is on permanent display in “Gallery on Six” located in the “7W Mart” - 7 West 34th Street in Manhattan.
Trinidad born, New York based Architect and Designer Herb Glenn Bennett is the visionary behind the Trefoil Collection. Mr. Bennett discovered and patented a unique, curvilinear, form which he titled “Trefoil” to reflect its three sided nature. While the form has infinite applications, the designer’s initial idea was to incorporate the shape into the Gift, Home and Hospitality markets, starting with a dinnerware collection
The search for the “right” manufacturer ended in 2003 when Mr. Bennett introduced the concept to Gmundner Keramik, a renowned 300 year old producer of fine ceramics in Austria. Together, they translated the basic form into a truly unique and elegant dinnerware collection which continues to be a great success in global markets.
Formal – Signature collection. The polished soft white surface, elegantly edged with pure 24Kgold and platinum pigments, highlights this line’s unique form. Each piece is expertly manufactured and painted by hand.
